Our Story

A message from FeelHappyFood´s innovator and founder, Richard Daal

I grew up in South Africa and travelled extensively around the world with my parents, and so from an early age, I was lucky enough to experience different cultures, cuisines and local products.

I have vivid memories of my childhood when my father, who worked as an engineer, would often return home from his business trips with exotic spices for us to experiment with. We would spend quality father-son time and browse through the local market which was bursting in textures, flavours and smells and plan the meals we would cook together. My passion for food and cooking began in these early years and continued
to develop as I got older.

Now after 30 years in the foodservice industry and 20 years as a restaurant owner I am focusing on the second phase of my career to provide healthy lunches for school kids. The catalyst came after having my own children; I realised there was a lack of healthy, nutritious food menus in schools in Spain.

My goal is to create freshly made quality lunches every day to education centres on the coast and inspire families and schools to provide children with a strong foundation for their developing minds.
